An international bestseller, “A Man Called Ove” was thought to be a very catchy, commercial story, but my expectations turned out to be false. Yes, it was an easy to read book, but with so many things to be learned. “A Man Called Ove” talks about the grumpy people in our lives and their big, warm and kind hearts.

Long story short

Ove is 59 now, but all his life he had a cranky character. After the death of his only love in life, his wife, Ove decides to commit suicide, as “the house was too empty without her”. But faith has other plans for him. A young family of new neighbors and a cat turn his world upside down and reveal the warmness behind “the bitter neighbor from hell”, Ove.

In the end, the book is about friendship, unkempt cats, love, youth, and agedness.
